Friendships and community

7 years ago, I started climbing mountains with skis on my feet. The physical challenge was beyond what I expected & continues to push. I’ve learnt to sharpen awareness of every moment & decision with constant assessment of danger & conditions.

Getting off the beaten path to experience the beauty of mountains is so joyful. The greatest joy though is the community of like-minded people who love to do the same thing. I’ve made friendships with people that I now trust with my life. We’ve seen each other through injuries, avalanches & making tough decisions so we could live to do it another day. At the end of the day, it’s the sense of #community that keeps me going.
